Parent's Guide

The Ronseal edition of Just Dance, Just Dance Kids does exactly what it says on the tin - it's Just Dance, but for a younger audience. With a selection of songs aimed at a market somewhere inbetween the Cbeebies and CBBC audiences, Just Dance Kids sees your children dancing around to a selection of nursery rhymes, pop songs, and favourites for the older crowd, with an intelligent mix of songs children should know. From Counting Crows Accidentally in Love, from Shrek 2, to Blur's Song 2, there's a decent enough selection of songs that means children of all ages should be able to find one they'll enjoy.

If your child loves getting up and dancing along with the various songs on CBeebies, or just loves dancing, the chances are they'll pick up Just Dance Kids very quickly, because it's much of the same thing. Following the on screen characters (or little silhouette prompts at the bottom, if you'd prefer), there's a lot of repetition here, and plenty of simple, feel good moves for kids to perform - such as playing air guitar to Song 2, and really rocking out. Much more forgiving than other Just Dance games, Just Dance Kids realises encouragement is needed to keep kids playing, meaning perfect ratings are a lot easier to come by, and hopefully stopping any frustrated temper tantrums because they can't do it.

Mature Content

As a dancing game aimed at children, Just Dance Kids has no questionable content at all - there's obviously no swearing, violence, blood, guts and gore at all. The only questionable content it has may be if you're a young boy, in which case you'll probably run a mile at some of the girlier things.

Multiplayer
With full support for four player multiplayer, Just Dance Kids lends itself well to parties full of the little ones (at least on the Wii and PS3 - things may tend to get a bit crowded and frustrating using Kinect). With a variety of more party-style modes on offer, including Freeze and Shake, which basically works like Statues, there's plenty to keep kids occupied here - and songs like Feeling Good and Song 2 means the parents may even get involved too!
