Parent's Guide

Just Dance 3 is the latest instalment in the Just Dance dancing game series - only this time, it's on the Xbox 360 using Kinect, too! A doddle to pick up and play, all you have to do is stand in front of the camera, and copy the on-screen stick men's moves as they scroll across the bottom of the screen. With plenty of repetition (and a lenient scoring system), it's rather easy to pick up and play - and with a whole host of catchy songs (51 in total!) both new and old, there's bound to be something to persuade your kids to get up off the sofa and dance around like there's no tomorrow.

With it's simple premise and controls (there's very little reading involved - the most it gets are choosing a mode, a song (by its title) and having to read words like "clap" that appear on screen) – Just Dance 3 is a great game for kids and adults alike. What may cause a bit of frustration and confusion is the rate at which the moves scroll by, and deciphering what the picture wants you to do before it's gone past – although plenty of kids may well not care how well they're scoring, so long as they're having fun!

Mature Content

Just Dance 3 is a game that's suitable for all ages in terms of content, and features no sexual references, swearing or gore. Perhaps the only questionable things your kids may come across are your dance moves!

Practically designed from the ground up to be played as a family unit, Just Dance 3 is one of the best games on Kinect for families to play. With full support for four players, and a selection of specially coreographed songs that let the entire family take part in a routine where they each have their own moves that all fit together, you can have hours of fun with Just Dance 3 - and it's energetic, too! The only thing worth keeping in mind for four player play is that you'll need a lot of room - whereas on the Wii, you can stagger your people (as you need to be able to see the TV, but the TV doesn't have to see you), on Kinect, we found you do need to stand pretty much in a straight, horizontal line - so it's time to push those sofas around again.
