The relatively large amounts of text could turn out to be a blessing in disguise, as it'll certainly encourage your child to read. At the heart of the game is the idea of making friends and giving gifts - albeit in a cute, colourful rather simplistic way, but teaching your child the value of friendship and giving is a valuable lesson. A fair few of the mini-games could be considered to have educational value too - pairs will help improve their memory and colouring can encourage creativity to name but a few.
Hello Kitty: Birthday Adventures is as squeaky-clean as Kitty's white fur - and is rated at a 3+ accordingly. There's nothing questionable here whatsoever, unless you object to cute, colourful characters giving each other presents.
Hello Kitty: Birthday Adventures is a single player game through and through - although most of the mini-games could have been adapted for multiplayer, and the game wouldn't have been any worse off. While there's no multiplayer to speak of, there's nothing stopping you from lending a hand with the relatively large amount of reading though.
