Just Dance 2017 announced in E3 "shocker"

Justin Bieber, Queen and Psy make appearances in Ubisoft's annual dancing game

Just Dance 2017 announced in E3 shocker
17th June, 2016 By Sarah Morris

Noted American Benjamin Franklin may have said that only two things in life are certain - death and taxes - but we'd probably add a couple more. First, the flash flooding of the British 'summer time' of which yesterday was a stunning example, and second, Ubisoft's yearly Just Dance instalment. To the surprise of absolutely no-one, this year's industry trade show E3 saw the reveal of the cunningly titled Just Dance 2017, next in the long line of Just Dance games, coming to Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U and Wii later this year.

Years of studying at the most prestigious dancing school, and all I got cast as was a carrot...

For those that have some how managed to side step the whole Just Dance phenomenon, it's the perfect party game - simply grab some friends, pick some songs and jig along to the game's chart-topping tracks, trying your best to match the on-screen diagrams. The closer you are to the moves, the more points you score, with the person with the most points at the end being declared the winner. Easy to pick up and play, and chock full of cheesy dance routines, it's a great crowd pleaser, whatever console you own. In fact, according to the official website's spiel, you don't even need various Kinect/Playstation cameras to play any more, as you can now dance using your smart phone as a controller with the free Just Dance Controller app.

Promising "the freshest and most diverse tracklist" so far, with more than 40 tracks included on the disc, and a further 200 through the Just Dance Unlimited subscription service, there's sure to be plenty to keep you dancing all night. To mark the announcement of Just Dance 2017, Ubisoft have released the first eleven tracks, but seeing as we're not really down with the yoofs any more, preferring to sit at home with a good book, a cat and a cup of tea, it's all Greek to us really (bar Queen, Hatsune Miku and internet favourite "What is Love"):

Just Dance 2017 will be available this October on all major consoles - that's the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U and Wii, as well as a digital download for the PC for the first time ever. Why not check out the reveal trailer below:
