Parent's Guide

Wuppertal Suspension Railroad simulator is a downloadable Wii U eShop game that puts you in control of the titular railway itself. A kind of inverted monorail, these trains dangle from a platform through the city of Wuppertal - and it's up to you to take control of an accurately modelled virtual recreation, as you ferry the good citizens around.

As a realistic simulator, most of your time with Suspension Railroad Simulator will be spent trying to figure out how to make your train move, how to stop it, and making sure when it does stop, it stops in the right place so the passengers can get off. With a full dashboard of controls at your fingertips (and you can press most of them by using the Wii U GamePad's touch screen), it can be quite daunting at first, but before too long, you'll be shuttling backwards and forwards like a natural. Unfortunately, there isn't actually all that much to do beyond simply going from one end of the railway to the other - a process that will take about 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, with no tutorials and little in the way of prompts, this can be tricky for younger players to get the hang of. While the game's manual does a good job of explaining what you need to do, having to switch back and forth between the manual and the game can be distracting at best. With complex controls, and a lot of things to keep an eye on/be aware of, coupled with a game that isn't that good at reminding you, this is a tricky game for younger players to get the hang of, and one best left to the older crowd.

Mature Content

With no swearing, violence, or gore of any kind, there's nothing for parents to be concerned about in terms of mature content in Suspension Railroad Simulator.
