Controls
You move your character with the Directional Pad, and talk to people with the A button. You can also assign key items, like the bike or the fishing rod to the Y button for easy access. The menu has also been redesigned for use on the touchscreen, for maximum ease of use.

Learning Curve
Unless you start with the wrong Pokémon for the first gym, you should have no trouble, but a bit of random battling in the grass around should get you to a decent level in no time. Like all RPG’s, if you run into a battle that’s too difficult, you can just fight random Pokémon for experience.
