Way back in June last year, we mentioned that the folks at Nordic Games, the creators of our favourite Wii karaoke game series, We Sing, had not one, not two, but three We Sing games up their sleeves. So far we've had We Sing: UK Hits and We Sing: Rock within a month or two of each other, but the third game of the trifecta, We Sing: Pop seemed to get left behind a little, disappearing into the abyss, before resurfacing in recent weeks, with the news that it'll be hitting shelves near you in March.

As with the other games in the series, We Sing: Pop is sure to feature the same impeccable choice of songs, with something for everyone, no matter how old or young, as well as a healthy emphasis on multiplayer fun - because, lets face it, with voices like ours, it's always better to have someone else singing with you. With both competitive and co-operative multiplayer modes on offer, as well as a few stranger ones that see you passing a microphone around between your group, relay style, or having to sing "blind" at random intervals, with no lyrics or music, there's plenty of fun waiting to be released on an unsuspecting group of friends.

One thing that does seem a bit odd is that We Sing: Pop seems to have lowered the usual track quota from the healthy forty that every other We Sing game's had, to a slightly more slim thirty. We're hoping they won't have lost any diversity in the game's choice of songs - because after all, the music is what makes the karaoke game.

Baby are you ready, cause it's getting close... to the first seven songs being revealed

So without further ado, here are the first seven tracks you'll be singing along to in just over a month – you can even head over to the official Facebook page and have a listen, as well as getting some sneaky practice in before the game's out:

Adele – Rolling In The Deep
Enrique Iglesias – Hero
Hanson – MmmBop
Lady Gaga – Bad Romance
Outkast – Hey Ya
Rhianna – Don't Stop The Music

Tinie Tempah – Written In The Stars

Not being all that big on pop music myself, We Sing's song selection triumphs here, as even *I* know all seven songs – at least partially thanks to my brother's tendency to blast them out on his computer on a daily basis. From the gruff voiced Adele's first US chart-topper, Rolling In The Deep (which is also one of the most-sung karaoke tracks of recent years) to the cheesy school disco pop of Hanson's MmmBop, and one of Lady Gaga's best known tracks, there's plenty for the more pop-orientated among you to sing along to. For me though, nothing can beat the songs on We Sing: Rock or We Sing: Robbie Williams – although, throw in a few more cheesy 90's pop tunes from my childhood and we'll talk... (or some vintage Peter Andre - Ed)

We Sing: Pop hits stores on the 23rd of March this year – and stay tuned for the remaining twenty-three songs, as and when they're announced. A sneaky look at the box reveals there's songs by Jessie J, Wham and Bruno Mars still to come - but we don't know which tracks we'll see yet.
