The Ben 10 fans among you (or those with children/relatives who are) will most likely already be aware that Ben 10: Omniverse is the title of the upcoming series of the immensely popular cartoon series, that follows the adventures of alien-watch-wearing teenager, Ben Tennyson and co. Turning sixteen, Ben is all set to become a solo hero, but his Grandpa has other ideas, teaming him up with inexperienced partner-who-used-to-be-a-plumber (obviously!), Rook – and of course there'll be a brand new Omnitrix, and new alien transformations to go along with it.

Based on this latest instalment of the animated series comes the official tie-in game of the same name – you'll be able to play as Ben Tennyson, complete with thirteen alien transformations, including new aliens like Bloxx and Gravattack, as Ben and Rook work together to foil the plans of a fierce villain intent on destroying the world. What's even better is that the game also features the option for two player co-op (a feature that we hugely missed in the still pretty good Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Cosmic Destruction), which lets a friend drop in and take over Rook, who has a high-tech, multi-functional 'Proto-Tool' weapon at his disposal - although it's possibly not as cool as being able to change into more than a dozen aliens...

Apparently made of Lego, Bloxx is seemingly capable of creating shields..

Ben 10: Omniverse will be available on pretty much every platform going, including the upcoming WiiU, Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3, as well as both of the Nintendo handhelds, the DS and 3DS – although there's no sign of a PS Vita version. While there's no release date confirmed, the TV series will premiere on Cartoon Network this autumn, so we'd expect the game around then too.
