Just Dance 2014 full song list revealed

Aladdin, Abba and Bob Marley feature on the complete track list

Just Dance 2014 full song list revealed
24th September, 2013 By Sarah Morris

As much as we love our dancing games, we are the living embodiment of having two left feet. During dance at school we managed to make the ever-patient dance teacher despair as we spent a whole term trying to master a single routine. Even when it came to the assessment at the end, when we were told simply to 'drop out when we couldn't remember any more', guess who stopped before we even got to the chorus? But despite our lack of any natural talent, we've never had a problem with Ubisoft's Just Dance series. The sort of game that's easy enough for anyone to pick up and play - all you do is hold a Wii Remote in your right hand and copy the little stick men pictures that move across the screen, it's so easy even we can have fun doing it - and its that accessibility that's led the series to some 25m sales to date.

With the latest instalment, Just Dance 2014, hitting the shops in just under a fortnight's time, Ubisoft have finally released the full song list for the game. With 46 songs in total across a whole range of genres, from oldies like Bob Marley and ABBA to more recent hits from Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and co, it means there's sure to be something for everyone to dance along to - which means we won't be the only ones looking silly on the dancefloor this October:

  • Village People - Y.M.C.A.
  • will.i.am Ft. Justin Bieber - #thatPOWER
  • Wisin & Yandel Ft. Jennifer Lopez - Follow The Leader

It's certainly not a bad selection of songs, but there are a few slight oddballs mixed in amongst the regulars. We're not sure where the idea to put Prince Ali from Disney's Aladdin came from (hey, at least Ghostbusters has a sort of famous routine), but we can't wait to have a go at it. We also have a number of European language songs, such as the original German version of 99 Red Balloons (luft ballons!), a duet featuring Flo Rida and TAL called Danse that's in French, and a track from the Italian rapper Fedez. There's also a few we're surprised haven't appeared on a Just Dance game till now - the YMCA, Michael Jackson's Blame It On The Boogie and I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry, for example - but overall, it's a pretty strong line-up, and one we can't wait to go hands on with ourselves.

Just Dance 2014 dances onto the Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on the 4th October, with versions for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 turning up in November at the launch of each of the new consoles. Check back soon for a full review.
