The upcoming Poke sequels, Pokemon Black and White Version 2 may seem to be a long way off at the moment (they aren't due to release until this October), but the nice guys at Nintendo aren't going to let our Poke appetite go unquenched. Instead, to get us in the mood for the new games, Nintendo are putting on another event that'll let you download an exclusive, super duper Pokemon to your copy of Black or White – this time netting us the legendary water/fighting-type colt, Keldeo.

This latest addition to the Pokemon realm is a kind of cute horse with a rather bouffant hairdo, taking up residence right at the end of your Unova Pokedex, at number 153. Coming pre-loaded with a mixture of water and fighting type moves (Aqua Jet, Leer, Double Kick and Bubblebeam, for those of you who know their stuff), he also comes with a nifty special ability called Justified, that raises his attack every time he gets hit by a Dark-type move. Not only do you get an awesome new Pokemon, but once you transfer Keldeo to your new copy of Pokemon Black/White Version 2 this October, you'll get to play through a special event that will teach Keldeo it's signature Secret Sword move, and reveal a whole new alternative form for him.

Those are some rather impressive eyebrows...

Unlike some of the more recent giveaways, where you could just download the 'mon from the internet, this one involves you having to actually get up and leave the house, as it's only being distributed in Game and Gamestation stores – and even then, only for just over a month too, from the 1st of September to the 11th October. Talk about limited edition...

Once in your local Game/Gamesation store, you need boot up your copy of Pokemon Black/White on your DS/DSi/3DS console, and choose the 'Mystery Gift' option from the main menu. Then choose 'Receive Gift', say yes, click 'Get Via Wireless', press yes again and hey presto! Keldeo is on his way. But that's not the end of it – when you next hop on the game, you'll need to head over to the nearest Pokemon Centre and speak to the deliveryman (blue hat, stationed on the left of the entrance, opposite the shop counter) to add your Keldeo to your current party of Pokemon - make sure you have a free slot first though!

So there you have it – make sure you head to Game/Gamestation before the 11th of October to nab yourself a Keldeo, and don't forget to pick up a copy of Pokemon Black/White Version 2 in October. Until then, make sure you keep checking back as we're sure to have even more Pokemon-related news trickling out over the coming weeks.
