With Super Mario Galaxy 2 set for a June 11 2010 release in the UK, Nintendo have announced that the European edition will contain an extra DVD. The extra DVD will contain several video tutorials for certain challenging aspects of Super Mario Galaxy 2 - which is sure to come as a pleasant surprise for people who found the original Mario Galaxy a little bit too challenging.
While very few specifics about the DVD have been announced, it's nice to see Nintendo taking a few extra steps to help new players make the jump.
The sequel to Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is set to follow much the same formula as the original game, seeing the rotund plumber jumping around various planets, collecting coins, and stars as he goes. With an innovative co-op system, which lets a second player use another Wii remote to collect items, and generally aid the first player, the sequel seems to be pulling out all the stops when it comes to helping new players find their footing.
Expect a full review this June.
