We loved the original A Kingdom For Keflings back in 2008. We loved the sequel, A World Of Keflings when it was released two years later. We also loved the It Came From Outer Space add-on released late last year. So you can imagine how excited we were when we heard that NinjaBee, the developers behind such awesome Xbox Live Arcade Games as the seriously good Outpost Kaloki X, Band Of Bugs and Ancients Of Ooga (developed in collaboration with Bacon Wrapped Games), were planning on even more Kefling-y goodness.

Ever the helpful giant.

For those unfamiliar with the series, the Keflings games plonk your Xbox Avatar in the lead role, as a friendly giant, who has to look after a town full of miniature people with an irrational love of hats. Because you're a big strong giant compared to them, they enlist your help in building a kingdom – which involves harvesting resources, assembling buildings from blueprints and a fair few errands for the main townspeople. You don't have to do it all by yourself though, as you can delegate the various harvesting and transporting jobs to the inhabitants of your town, where they'll don the appropriate hat and be on their merry way.

Seemingly, the people over at Ninja Bee are a bit indecisive – or really trust the fans of their games, as they've come up with not just one idea for the upcoming add-on, but a whopping three. Unfortunately for them, they seem to have fallen in love with each of the ideas identically, and, having only a certain number of programming monkeys at their disposal, have decided to throw the decision open for the public to choose. For the next week, you'll be able to pop over to PlayXBLA and cast your vote for the add-on you want to see made, once every twenty-four hours – and on top of making your voice heard, you'll also be in with a chance of winning your Kefling-ised likeness appearing in the game! So without further ado, here are the three themes you can choose between:
  • 'A Graveyard For Keflings', featuring zombies, pumpkins, haunted houses and all sorts of other scary stuff – hopefully not too scary though.

  • 'Candy For Keflings' is right out of 'Hansel and Gretel', with gingerbread houses, lollipop trees and a massive pink bear who shares the Keflings' love of fancy headgear.

  • 'Pirates For Keflings' is everything you want in an add-on, me hearties, featuring peg-legged pirates and more booty than you can shake a cutlass at.
It's a tough one. I like the candy pink, cake-theming of 'Candy For Keflings', especially the happy pink bear and the disgruntled unicorn, but pirates are awesome... Maybe I'll alternate my daily votes between the two of them... Seeing as we love Keflings so much, we're secretly hoping they make them all, and the voting simply determines which order they're released in – although that's probably just wishful thinking on our part.
