A not-quite sequel-cum-follow-up to 2009's head scratcher, Alan Wake, American Nightmare puts you in the shoes of the titular Alan, a writer who's trapped in a shadow world by his mysterious, er, evil twin, Mr. Scratch.

A third person shooter with a hearty mix of combat and collectibles to be hunted out, it's up to you to use the power of light against your darkness empowered enemies, shining your torch on possessed enemies, and poltergeist objects as you go to break their shields.
